Design of a rechargeable vaporiser
Reclaiming a code of the brand through perfume design
From the opening of his fashion house in 1947, Christian Dior’s idea was to create a sober and classical style. His inspiration came from his sewing salon, thus, reproducing the basket weave pattern which can be seen on Napoleon III chairs and Louis XVI medallion chair backs. The designer has also extended this pattern to the mythical leather Lady Dior handbag.
The role of the design: Extending Dior emblems by transposing them from leather work to perfume bottles.
The creative vision: The basket weave pattern was set aside for a while ….Objets de Convoitises has been bold enough to successfully reinvent it on nomadic perfume items. It has also been extended to the make-up line and the private collection of Escales de Dior perfumes.
